Facial swelling

Dad recently diagnosed with locally advanced cancer. He started hirmone therapy 1 week ago, but presented at A & E this morning with facial swelling to his right cheek and drooping the doctirs have said bells palsy could this be linked to his hormone therapy/cancer and shoukd we contact his specialist nurse

Not listed as a side effect of treatment, it could be a side effect of the disease though. It can also be caused by a multitude of other things too. Hopefully the hospital will diagnose and resolve the issue conclusively soon.

I don't think there'd be any harm in letting the nurse specialist team know about his visit to A&E.  I guess it would be unusual for it to be related to the PC - but it is something they could keep an eye on at your next Oncology appointment
