Two years after PC

Two years ago I was diagnosed with PC and in June 2024 I had my prostate removed.  Since then my PSA has crept up from 0.02 to 0.16 with every result being an increase.  Two months ago a small dot on my cheek started to grow and has now become a 7mm mole with black spots on the side.  The mole has moments when it itches.  Today, I saw my doctor and she immediately put me on an urgent skin cancer review.

My doctor told me there is a link as both have been linked to Androgens (male hormones) as a cause.  I don't know how strongly this has been proven, but I am shocked and a little angry that no health professionals had warned me about this link and that I needed to be vigilant.

It is possible this isn't skin cancer and I certainly hope not.  I will update this thread with news.

I never thought much about i,t but when my GP looked at my back for another problem, he said he didn't like the look of a mole. He also suggested he added a PSA test to bloods he was calling for. Upshot was I was diagnosed with Lentigo Melanoma and the mole plus some surrounding tissue was excised and that ended that problem. However, the PSA came in at 17.6 and initiated my PCa journey back in 2007. No connection between the two was suggested.
