Secondary PET Scan uptakes

I'm 2 weeks post op RARP waiting for date to have my test done.

Since having my PET scan I have had lots of questions in assessments about chest, back and shoulder pains. I have osteoarthritis in my spine thru L to C and constantly in pain, but, the pain management team have said this is natural due to my condition, which mentioned before my op.

The oncologist said that they had 3 secondary uptakes in my 4th left, 7th right rib and posterior scapula. He said it was probably down to an infection or previous break/fracture.

suv: 3.9 Left / 3.3 Right / 3.5 Scapula which I understand are in the grey area?

My GP rang me yesterday and asked me to come down for a meds review after telling him I would like something stronger as pain increasing.  Most of his questions where directed about my chest and shoulders which I thought was a bit strange.

Should I have reason for concern as its actually made me feel a little nervous 😓

This doesn't make sense. Didn't you have all the scans before you had your prostectamy?

Yes the PET scans etc where all done before all this concern about my secondary findings arose. My concern is the oncologist prior to op basically brushed it under the carpet but I have been having all these questions in my assessments and now my GP.

It could be wear and tear but someone needs to explain to you exactly what the scans mean. Seems odd it's only just arose now.

He explained at length all about the prostate findings but the secondary just seemed like a passing comment?? I think its bad asking all these questions without being upfront to the reason for asking 😕 I'm going to try and get hold of them on Monday and find out exactly what is going on.

Hello

The SUV values are on the low side ...  but it is hard to say more without further information.

Good luck - keep posting..

What was your Gleason and staging at diagnosis and was anything said to you what it was after your prostectamy.

Sometimes the scores change once it's whipped out.

I was 4:3 Stage 2 but haven't had tests yet as only 2 weeks post op.
