it all adds up so any tips whilst I chew my nails awaiting final diagnosis.

i am a realist so expecting spread.

Sorry your here.

It may be helpful for you to go on eBay and buy a Disabled toilet key, known as a RADAR key. They cost about £5. You might not think you are disabled, but you are.

If the failure to empty your bladder is a serious problem, you may be able to get your urologists to provide Self Catheterisation tubes, not something everyone would want to do, but it made my life easier.

Other than that just wait for the test results, nothing can be done until then.

Sorry you're here, the club nobody wants to join, but you've made the right start in your journey.

You've just got to keep yourself busy to keep your mind off it. Easy said than done I know.

You could try and keep your fluids down to try and help with the frequent peeing and get some Tena Level 3 pads if you get caught short. They can hold up to 700ml.

You can also get a card off McMillan you can put on your phone to show places if you are desperate to use a loo in a pub, cafe or such like.

You're PSA is high but could be due to other reasons as well. I had proctitis running along side the cancer, and they gave me antibiotics after my biopsy which resolved the peeing urgency I presented with initially. I often wonder what my PSA would have been without the proctitis, unfortunately it didn't change my final staging though.

I've had radical treatment and doing okay, just come back from a nice holiday abroad.

Look forward and plan stuff to do.

ATB,

Thanks for the heads up, I think till the final diagnosis comes in, then I’m in that place!

Although from examinations and symptoms I have been told what the likely diagnosis is.

We shall see but for now, some good advice which I will take onboard. Thanks for your kindness and I wish you all the very best also.

Hi, Dave.

I'm very sorry that you've had to join 'The Club', but welcome to the forum.

It's often been said that the diagnostic procedures for prostate cancer are the hardest to deal with. Your extreme fatigue, bladder problems and very high PSA must make them so much worse.

You appear to have a good mind set, which should stand you in good stead.

All I can do is wish you good luck with your biopsy today and your CT scan on Monday. I hope that they can soon ease some of the problems that you're having.

Please keep us updated. Whatever the results, you'll always get help and support here. 👍
