Incontinence pants

Hi, I'm 9 months post radical robotic prostatectomy and still needing pads. I would like to move onto using washable incontinence pants for moderate to low leakage. Having looked on the internet I am now bombarded with loads of confusing different adverts. Can anyone please suggest a suitable make. Many Thanks

Joking apart, Phil. Welcome to the forum, mate.

Fortunately, I regained bladder control about 7/8 months after RARP. I hope you recover it can take up to a year or more. I never tried washable incontinence pants but I'm sure some of the lads on here will have done and will recommend what they found best.

Seriously, I see Tena have got a sale on with 40% off on some pants for low flow. At the sale price of twelve quid a pair. Compared to other makes, they seem decent value.

They say they are 'Lab approved'. Perhaps Andy Burnham wears them?

NHS will supply pads and pants direct for you .In Derbyshire we can self refer to continence nurse who organises suitable items .

Had a delivery last week of 100 pads , just phone to reorder when I need more .

Thanks Gents, I was hoping to reduce the waste of disposable pads now my incontinence has improved by using washable incontinence pants. That's why I was looking for recommendations. Thanks Phil

I also saw the many ads on Facebook for these pants - I bought some from Menvault - they do the job - it's much easier that changing pads during the day and I never had a leak from them. They aren't cheap and need to be washed at low temps and can't be tumble dried so it needs planning to make sure that you always have one available. They also took weeks to arrive as I assume they came from the States.

Fortunately for me I didn't need them for long as I regained virtually all of my control within 3 months of my op. I still wear Tena ones I bought later but don't really need to now.
