Hi there, my name is Jon and I am 46 years old. Earlier this year I was diagnosed with prostate cancer, and in May I had a prostatectomy to remove my prostate, which was successful, and I am now in remission.
I am also a songwriter and composer, mostly releasing songs under the alter ego of 'Jonny Melodic'. I just wanted to let you know that I have released a charity single for Prostate Cancer UK called 'One Step at a Time'.
The song describes how I felt in my prostate cancer journey, trying to take things a day at a time, dealing with diagnosis, treatment and recovery.
There is also a B-side I have recorded, called 'Check it Out', which urges people to get checked and tested early if they have any health concerns, before it's too late.
Both of these songs are available on Bandcamp, and 'One Step at a Time' will also be available on other streaming and download services such as Spotify. All proceeds from the charity single will go towards Prostate Cancer UK.
