Hi all,

I have a recently raised psa- normally dad steady, but it's elevated to 4.5 this time (from about 1) I'm under a huge amount of stress under last few months, does anyone have any similar experiences?

Thanks

There are several reasons why your PSA could have risen. You could ask your GP to do a urine test to rule out a UTI. You could also ask for a repeat PSA test in say 2-3 months and make sure you do nothing energetic for 24 hours prior to the blood being taken. This would include cycling and sex. Depending on the results, your GP may consider you discuss with Urology and maybe further hospital tests. Meanwhile, try not to worry. Some experts are of the opinion that with a 3 + 3 grading the cell grading is not sufficiently changed from normal to be called cancer. However, things can change, so good that you are being monitored and treatment given if considered necessary.

Thanks Barry,

That's almost the route that the  Urology team have taken, repeat blood, also due for mri this year.

Yes my scale is 3+3 so very low. Also last template biopsy showed no positive cores.

Cheers again
