Just had results back from my prostate biopsy.

Overall Gleason score is 4+3 equals 7

Grade group 3

Perineural invasion was present in the left anterior.

PSA 7

Pirads 3/4 lesion

CPG 3

I've had an appointment with both a surgeon and oncologist to discuss my options but because I have a heart condition (aortic regurgitation) they are awaiting an up to date report from my Cardiologist.

Really glad I have found this forum as I have been lurking all weekend not sure whether to put my personal results in here

Hope everyone in here lives a long and healthy life and I look forward to your posts with great anticipation and trepidation.

Welcome ! There’s lots of info and very informative people on here . Not just men but also wives / partners. Ask away and I’m sure someone will come along and help .
My husband’s story is different to yours as he was 4+5 psa 23 and incurable. After early chemo and other drugs he’s still here 10+ yrs later . Everyone has a different story to tell . Just remember medication has advanced greatly since Gary was diagnosed.

Hello, mate.

I'm sorry that you've had to join The Club, but welcome to the forum.

I wouldn't worry about the PNI, your Gleason score is intermediate, your PSA is not too elevated and I presume that you are T2, prostate confined disease. In the grand scheme of things they are a pretty good set of results.

You mention surgery, there may be other options open to you. Here's an excellent video that details various treatment options and their possible side effects.

I was offered surgery or radiotherapy. I prefered RARP. Like you, I had heart issues, and it took a couple of months for a cardiologist to pass me fit for surgery.

Thanks a lot for the link to the YouTube vid.

Hopefully my cardiologist will pass me as ok to continue with whatever treatment is suitable.

Still quite a daunting prospect but hey ho let's go.

Welcome fro me as well!

Just a note to say that you are amongst friends and you can say/ask most things on here - it is a safe and anonymous space. Some of the stuff gets personal but it helps that it is anonymous so you feel free to talk about stuff that has happened/might happen - like incontinence or ED for instance - topics not normally left for a chat at the pub with mates....

Me - I am still in one piece as surgery not an option, breakout and mets in my lymph nodes mean Hormone Treatment for life plus chemo and radiotherapy. I am one year in and incurable but treatable with an undetectable PSA as of last week.

There is all sorts of experience on here, so I hope you feel a little happier in joining and asking your question.

Also have a good look at the excellent support information available through this site - the Toolkit is very good.
