PSA high after biopsy

Hi All,


On AS for the last 5 years. 


Currently G6 (3+3) recently downgraded from G7 (3+4) when what 3 MRI scans thought was a tumour is now being regarded as prostate inflammation or a bruise. 


PSA has been averaging 6.3 for a few years.


I had a LATP biopsy in Oct 2025 and after that my 3 monthly PSA test results have been :


9.3  8.2  9.0 (last week).


The LATP was quite brutal on my body, taking me several weeks to recover with blood in semen for 10 weeks after the procedure.

Hello, mate.


It's obviously good news that your Gleason has been downgraded from 7 (3+4) to 6 (3+3). Your BPH and prostatitis can cause elevated and fluctuating PSA levels. 


Presumably you are continuing on active surveillance with regular PSA tests and MRI scans?.


It's great to see that five years later your AS is working as it should, and that you've avoided having any radical treatment. Long may it continue.  👍
