Hi everyone,I’m looking for some advice or reassurance from anyone who has dealt with prostatitis.Just over a month ago, I was diagnosed with prostatitis. My doctor checked my urine (no infection found) but checked my prostate and put me on a 14-day course of Ciprofloxacin 500mg (twice a day). While the initial severe pain and scrotal tenderness improved significantly on the tablets, I am still dealing with chronic, highly uncomfortable lingering symptoms a month later.Currently, my symptoms are:Penis Tip: A persistent feeling of radiating heat, warmth, and intense sensitivity.Penis Shaft: Distinct soreness and tenderness along the lower shaft when touched.Lower Back/Hip: A new aching pain in my lower left back, right on my hip, which flares up when I am in bed at night.Timing: The urinary discomfort happens right before I pee and lingers for about 20–30 minutes after.Pattern: Everything gets much worse from the late afternoon onwards and peaks at night. It is disrupting my sleep, and I'm waking up 2 to 3 times a night to pee.I don't have any fever, chills, or unusual discharge. I recently had a temporary flare-up after an active gym class and a spicy meal, which really highlighted the burning. I currently take D3, K2, and Magnesium (which I take at night to help relax the muscles).I am contacting my GP this week for a routine review, but I wanted to ask the community:Is it normal to still feel this "raw/grazed knee" and radiating heat sensation a month after antibiotics?Could this be related to tight pelvic floor muscles or Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome (CPPS) rather than a returning infection? What helped you cross the finish line and finally get rid of the lingering evening/nighttime symptoms? Thanks in advance for any support or insights
