We have been asked to share an opportunity by colleagues at NICE who are seeking involvement for a one-off short-term project for metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC).
They are looking for someone with experience of chemotherapy treatment for metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) who is willing to share their personal experience including impact on quality of life and any treatment history.
Patient experts will be asked to share their lived experience with the NICE team and other stakeholders involved in the project.
The commitment is as follows (please note that the timescales for this project are quite short):
- You must be available for a meeting (via Zoom) on Wednesday 4 November 2026 (12:30-4:00pm). During the meeting you will be asked to share your experience, your treatment history, and the impact on your quality of life.
- Prior to attending the above meeting, you will have a pre-meeting briefing with the relevant NICE team to discuss the project in more detail, they will ask about your experience, treatment history and impact on quality of life.
- Prior to the above call and the meeting in November, you will be asked to sign a confidentiality form and other relevant paperwork.
- There will be some pre reading ahead of the meeting.
- You will be asked to review and comment on a report prepared following the meeting.
Please note that an honorarium fee of £150 will be provided to cover time spent on the pre-call, the meeting and comments on the report.
