You have not included any details of your diagnosis/histology or whether Cryo is being offered as a primary or salvage treatment or as an option to one of the more usual treatments such as surgery, radiation or even active surveillance. Not many men have Cryo in UK but like all other forms of treatment has its pros and cons. If you provide more details about your case we may be able to better relate to your situation. So Cryo is a recognised treatment in the UK and is suitable for some men and this is the case if you have been offered it.  It is generally but not always administered privately rather than on the NHS.  It's used more frequently in the USA.
