Praise for the NHS

I had my latest 6 monthly PSA Test at 14.20pm on Tuesday 6th October and had my result emailed by 09.30am the next day, our local hospital has introduced a new digital system so you are emailed when your test is due and emailed again with the results, instead of waiting for letters or telephone appointments.

So praise when its due to Forth Valley Hospital, also my latest result was 0.4 which is the same as the last 3 tests so all seems stable which Im really happy about, cheers

Hi, John.

Great news, and thanks for the update.

It's wonderful that you've now got access to your results so quickly. Anything to reduce PSA test stress must be welcome.

I get my PSA tests done at my GP's surgery who sends them to the local hospital. On the surgery's systmonline I can usually access the results the following day.

Good luck with your continued recovery.👍

Good for you mate. But can't say I share the same praise following my latest consultants appointment. My scan results hadn't been written up by radiology, the consultant I saw didn't know I'd had a scan, and couldn't access the images, and when I eventually got some sort of copy and paste report from the consultants secretary a week later it raised more questions than answers, which remain up in the air until my next appointment in December.
