Hi Mandy
Welcome to the group! We are a friendly bunch who consist of chaps with the disease and their very important other halves - so yes it is perfectly normal for posts from folk like yourself.
We often refer to Prostate Cancer as a couples disease so feel free to ask away and join in with any of the conversations. This is a safe space, totally anonymous so any and all aspects get discussed.
If you want support for yourself then that is perfectly normal.
If you have queries about things associated with your husband’s condition then it would be helpful for us to k ow a little more about him - PSA at diagnosis; where you are in the process; have you had scans/biopsy etc. If you click on our names and/or roundel you will get to se our own stories (if completed) to give you an idea where we are in the process.
There are lots of folk with lots of experience on here as well as the PCUK helpline and publications to assist you and hubby.
Me - I am one year in since diagnosis with a PSA of 953, incurable and have had chemo, starting radiotherapy in a few weeks time and am on hormone therapy for life ( so have had triplet therapy plus RT) but not had surgery. My PSA is currently undetectable!
Let us know what it is we can help with?
Best wishes - stay positive CeePee |
