RT Finished at last

Well yesterday afternoon (Friday 30th May) saw me through the 37th and final fraction of my RT at the Arden Centres at University Hospital of Coventry & Warwickshire UHCW).

I feel great apart from some variable fatigue which is quite normal as far as I can tell.

I cannot praise the entire team at UHCW highly enough for their skill, patience, humour and understanding in getting me and many others through this during the last two months.

Took a selection of cakes and a Thank You card in yesterday as a small token of my appreciation to them all.

Scheduled too see onco in around 6 weeks time.......with folow up appointment around end of October when will get to learn my final PSA count.

Looking forward to our week in northern Italy next week.

Thanks to all the forum contributors who helped me out during my journey.

Well done, I am sure it is a relief to have it over. My hubby finished his 37 sessions on Tuesday. Thankfully he too got through it well. He worked throughout taking last week on leave. Some bowel and bladder irritability but manageable. Onwards and upwards for you both

Well Done Michael,

It is a journey, and I'm sure you've met many good folks on it!  Hope the side effects stay OK... they could get a little worse in the next couple of week, but then they get a lot better.

I am sure the RT has killed the little Bu66ers... It has with me, but it has taken 2 years for the PSA results to show it, so please be patient, and don't Panic!

All the best,

Peter
