Hi Ronniejj,

When did you have the tests?

Just noted your bio 'healthy until now'. It's hopefully just a little hurdle. Your good health will see you through. I'm still running marathons & 50 training miles per week. We can beat this.

Good luck fella. Lots of support on here & you can also call the nurses. They are wonderful & have fantastic knowledge & experience to put your mind at rest & help you decide the way to go.

All the best

Hi Carlos,

thanks for helping to put my mind at rest . I've been waiting for the result for over a week now. Guess I'm not so patient as I used to be.

Thanks again.

Ronniejj

Yes, good luck brother. Do you have results of other tests? It is all important at this stage and will suggest ways to beat this awful illness. Whatever the results, there are treatments available to you and you will find help and advice here from those who have been where you are now and have come through it,

Hi Steve

my p.s.a. was 117 which they said was quite high, but thid also

could be down to an infection.

So I should have a better idea of how far the cancer has spread from the results of the bonescan

Ronnie

Might be worth chasing your results, I did not get my MRI or Bone scan results until I went back to see my consultant.

I did use this site post diagnosis for info and spoke to the nurses and past patients, but wish I had used the forum more pre op, lots of good info and peoples experiences. As Steve said bit more info will help members to help you.

All the best Chris

MRI tomorrow the x-ray dept has just rang me. How strange because I haven't even had the results of the bone scan yet, Is this a normal situation of how things happen. ?

Yes, that's o.k.

Often depends on how busy each department is which comes first.

MRI went ok, though by the end

of the test, by bladder was really giving me so much trouble that

I had to press the button, but was told to hang on, otherwise they'd have to start the test again

The staff were reall kind though

Fortnight to wait for the results

Bone scan results were clear, no

signs of any cancer spreading to the bones. But I'll have to wait a fortnight for the MRI results to come through
