12 months on from original PSA + DRE + MRI + TRUS ( August 2013 )

Orginaly diagnosed T2 although TRUS number 1 negative clear (6 + 6)

PSA gone from 3.5 to 5.5 over last 12 months, Targeted TRUS again clear in February(6+6)

Awaiting TRUS number 3 results 23/07/2014 (4 on Target 7 on left & 7 on Right = 18 eyewatering)

How long will this re-testing go on if all clear this time ?

Not sure of your age but a work mate age 64 has had similar route to you. Quite a few biopsies etc ,had PSA up in the thirties at times, three weeks ago he was discharged and told not to worry.

Have a look at the conversation "when will it end"

We do need a better method of diagnosis.

All the best chris

I thought I read in the paper about a new diagnosis using a simple urine sample that has been found to be far superior to biopsies.

Duff

Article looks promising but one thing to bear in mind no matter how good the test is if your GP does not tell you it is not going to help. My GP missed a PSA of 6.9 , by chance I had another PSA three years later PSA 7.7 two weeks later biopsy gleeson 7 and 6 months later RP and clear of cancer. In some ways it is better know what is going on and get it sorted. Hope all goes well your latest tests, keep in touch.

Chris
