It is now 12months since my RRP and there have been some changes, some good, some not so,its good that I usually only get up once a night instead of two or three times, sometimes not at all, its even better that if I choose to I could Pee over a five bar gate,I must try that sometime, though I suppose that best of all is that as far as I am aware, I no longer have the dreaded C within me, though I do have my PSA result to look forward to next Tues so I will let you know. One of the not so good changes as most of you will know is E/D. Well today I saw for the third time Wendy my E/D nurse, she's quite lovely, though not in any sexual way,you wouldn't get a stiffy on if she sat there naked, but lovely just the same. She was as all ways pleased to see me,at least that's the impression I get,and between us we decided that I can now get 80% erect, I've been on 50mg a day sildenafil for about 6months, so now in order to perhaps regain the missing 20% she's given me a dozen 100mg sildenafil to take one or two a week and see what happens, hopefully things will be looking up,and if not there's always the pump, though I don't use it as much as maybe I should. Will keep you informed of progress, and PSA result next week. Best wishes to you all Diesel x

So I got my PSA result today 12 months after RRP and, deep joy , it stays at <0.01 with that and my 80% erections who could ask for anything more? Well I could actually, the missing 20%, no, I jest, I'm sure I will get there eventually, all these things take time and its only been a year, as well as that with Lynn on my side, can't fail. Best Wishes All Diesel. X

I'm in much the same position although my operation was 6 months ago. I'll be interested to see what happens with you Diesel

Keep us informed Diesel.

My op was in June.  I'm on 25mg sildenafil a night with 100mg once a week.  There is some life down there but nothing useful yet!  I know there is a long way to go.

6 months on, my pump gives me about 70%,although it takes about 4/5 attempts. Sildenafil has no effect at all, although I sometimes feel there is the occasional twinge. Off to Christie's next week, but will have the latest PSA result tomorrow.

Qwerty....Dave,

the calias gave me cronic heartburn/reflux and other symptoms, I did try half the dosage but it still gave me problems, I'm better off not taking it, Viagra didnt do anything at all, I know its early days, but i didnt feel very well in general taking it,so its the long hard slog for me !

Hi Diesel,
thanks for the message.

I don't really get where the nurse is coming from with the instruction to take 100mg a couple of times each week. Surely the advice should have been "try 100mg dose whenever you feel in the mood but don't take it more than twice each week." Taking a tablet simply because it is the right day is not going to work no matter how high the dosage. What state is your head in? Worrying about whether it will work, how hard it will be, how long it will last can all be self-fulfilling :-(

Have you tried Levitra yet? John found that this acted as some kind of catalyst which kick-started the significant improvement (although this could have been psychological rather than purely physical and he was at least a year further down the line than you)

DD, you have maybe more than 7 months of hope. John's greatest improvement was after the 24 month mark, interestingly at the point that he was just about giving up and maybe he stopped trying too hard?

Excellent news Diesel.

As you mentioned medication in your opening post, I hope you will be okay with then following? I had my meds reviewed on Monday. A GP I had not met, told him I am on 5mg Cialis daily for circulation to encourage recovery post op, 1 x 50mg Viagra for an event. He had never heard of Cialis being given for circulation.

I wonder what would happen if I took 20 x 5mg Cialis in one go?

Dave
