The ball is now rolling...

Evening all

Just had my latest PSA test, less than 0.1....happy bunny again

Had a good week in terms of pads, 6 out of 7 days I managed with 1 pad only....dry overnight....

In terms of ED, we've had some "fun" without the pump, which is just as well as I broke the handle on it....waiting for it to be replaced under warranty....

My last week as part of my phased return to work, full time from next week, and they've approved a flexible working arrangement from mid June so I'm going to a 4 day week (compressed hours)... If you don't ask you don't get :-)

Hi duncanac really good news on psa, my oh had his first psa result 2 weeks ago post op and it really does feel like a weight has been lifted - enjoy crack open the wine or in our case I got the champagne 😊 Paul was on phased return to work did first full last week all good just got weary towards end but to be expected. That's good. Well done.
In my work I can sit a lot, so I am going to go back full time a month post-op and hope it goes OK. It feels at the moment as if the main task is to cope emotionally with leaking. I ordered some samples of different types of pads yesterday, so I can work out what makes me most confident. The district nurses locally have been conspicuous by their absence ...
Best of luck!
Henry

Good news on the PSA long may it continue. Is being occupied working taking the mind off leaking, hence the improvement.

Thanks Chris

Duncan, great psa result and improvements all round. I don't think I dare ask how you broke the handle on your pump, swinging from the chandeliers comes later down the recovery path.

Evening all

Not posted for a while so I thought I should give you all an update

Got the latest PSA results today....less than 0.1 so we're happy

On the incontinence front, still using a pad a day most days, occasion two, PFEs continuing, Solifenacon 5mg daily, leak more when I'm tired or had a "sherbet" or two, mostly dry at night, being honest I wish I was totally dry but it's work in progress

On the ED front, using the pump daily, Cialis 20mg twice weekly....and we've had some naturally occurring success too, so we're both happy on that front too...

Work wise, I'm piloting compressed hours and a 4 day week (taking Momdays off) which is brilliant....

Another good result, well done. I see you are taking Solifenacon, how effective has it been and have you suffered with side effects ? Hope they have not compressed your salary.

Thanks Chris

Afternoon Chris

I really notice the difference on Solifenacin, helps control the urges...no side effects that have bothered me at all...and no, they ain't cut the salary, my boss worked it out that if I did 15 mins extra 4 days a week, I could get a day off...shows just how many extra hours I was doing...I have to say they've been very supportive throughout the whole episode...

Afternoon all

The latest bloods this week, rang today for the results...."All ok...".... Had to ask for the specific PSA value...."less than 0.1"... Yippee, another milestone

Still using a pad a day, but dry at night (unless I've had a wee swally where I use a pad just to be safe)....really good progress on the ED front when we've seen a few natural spontaneous erections. Still use the pump on a regular basis though....back to see the Professor next month

So apart from slowly progress on the bladder front I'm pretty happy with where I am....still have the build up and release round about the blood tests, haven't quite got my head in the space where I can forget about them.....but the town called Acceptance is still a pretty good place to be....
