Whoopeedoo! Today was results day. Two months post Rrp, feeling fit as a fiddle, no pain, no discomfort, 99.9% contiment, back to work with a vengeance, no stirrings in nether regions yet but its early days. Otherwise back to a normal life. After shaking the hand of the man that performed his art it was down to the nitty gritty. My list of questions in hand he pre-empted them with the answers before i needed to ask. Clear Margins, Yay! Gleason increased to 4+5=9  now T3 .Booo but not unexpected after other members on here had warned me of a likely increase. Then the biggy, PSA now 0.18. How to spoil a perfect recovery.

It seems that a few uninvited guest cells ignored the eviction notice and have decided to squat in where ever they are currently residing which will cause me immense further disruption to what was just getting to be a normal life. The explanation is that although there was no prior evidence of their existence on scans, they may be located in the remains of the Prostate bed. The recommended way forward is a referral to Oncology with the possibility of going on the RADICALS trial which involves Radiotherapy and possibly Hormones at the same time, prior to, after or a combination but with Radiotherapy at the core. Such is life

I am far from downhearted, its not a case of poor me, why me etc but more B***** it. Just what I didnt need but I can deal with it. Its my body and I have no intention of sharing it with Pca if it can be avoided whatever the treatment may be.

P***** off but not dejected Dick

Im so so sorry to hear your news Dick . It is a swine isn't it , big-time . I'm in the same boat but move the decimal point over on the PSA . I admire your drive and your will , and envy it . I hope you beat it . Sounds like we will be able to swap notes on HT / RT in the coming months .
All the very best

Dick, don't be disheartened its early days, been there, done that, so I'm nearly 10 years since diagnosis with PSA on the up again, but with a lot more drugs around now it should be plain sailing.

Chris.

Sorry the news wasn't excellent Dick, but glad you have such a determined attitude to it's continuing to invade where it is an unwelcome "guest"

Hi Dick,

Sorry to hear that it wasn't the best news , keep that positive mental attitude that you have as a strong mind will beat it. Also 99.9% continence is fantastic!

Xx

Sorry to hear that news Dick. That's really bad luck given how positive you've been throughout. Your great positive attitude will see you through this too and along with everyone I wish you all the very best.

Not the greatest of news but I love your approach and this sums it up for me ...."Its my body and I have no intention of sharing it with PCa if it can be avoided whatever the treatment may be"...I agree wholeheartedly
