PSA 64

It all started when the GP suggested a blood test, and I'd only gone to see him about a hernia.

He phoned back very early in the morning about 3 days later,  saying he had made an immediate appointment at the Urology Dept of the local hospital.

The PSA was 64.

Had the biopsy ( Gleason 4+3 in 10 of 12 biopsies) ,  and MRI  (T2).   No signs outside the prostate.

Consultant still worried about high PSA

Had PET scan.    No signs outside the prostate.

That is what passes for good news these days.

Now in line for a laparoscopic prostatectomy.

I asked if they could attend to the Hernia whilst they were working in that area!

Answer is maybe, all depends which surgeon is on duty that day.

Anybody else had both jobs done at the same time ?

Hi Ian

Just replied to your other post in Getting Ready for Robotic Surgery but it is better to keep this thread going rather than the one I responded to.
