So today at 47 after 6 months of poor health I decided to broach my GP about prostrate care.

It started with a blood test - PSA Levels

The form asks for gender. Female ticked with trans written underneath. GP was lovely explaining this disclosure.

Let's hope levels are normal

Hi ELC1,

Good Luck with the PSA test.

Hope the results are good for you.  If not, then we're here to help as much as we can with good advice.

Take care.

I hope the test result is fine. Lots of cooked tomatoes + garlic + some oily fish = good prostate care

Welcome ELC1

It's important that you do disclose your gender when being tested for prostate issues. HRT can alter the prostate, and finasteride, taken for male pattern baldness can lower the PSA reading.

I hope it goes well for you.
