My husband was diagnosed 4weeks ago psa 500 waiting the scan results worried sick don't know what to expect.Have been told probably in the bone.Started tablets straight away and injection which lasts 3 months.Anyone can give me a bit of encouragement.

Welcome to this website where you will find there are a lot of very helpful and knowledgeable people. When you have more information such as Gleason score others will be able to offer advice. As you receive more details include that in your posts and profile. Go to the publications section under prostate information at the top of the page and you can either download the “toolkit” or order it from the phone no. on this website.

Hellodolly, just to say welcome and to echo what Arthur says.

Once you have the info from the scans etc you'll get information.

What I can tell you is that we have members on here with PSA that started in the thousands and are incurable BUT, it doesn't stop them living their daily lives and enjoying it too, some for many years

It just means your life takes a little turn and the old normal changes to the new.

Life may never be the same again but you adapt.

Keep us posted and we'll help where we can
