Hi all


Does anyone know  about hernias as a side effect of keyhole prostatectomy. After 4 years I have developed a double hernia and was wondering if this is anything to do with the operation.

No. You basically have a split muscle, the aperture in which may be longer or shorter. If shorter, the guts may not protrude, if longer bits may be able to be pushed back, ie, palpable. So, the short answer is, it depends on how bad the tear is.
