Hi all....update time(these 3 weeks come round to quick)

Started cycle 9 Halda 0915 clinical trial

Cholesterol stable but still taking statins, stiff neck, aching to shoulders and lower back but coping,QOL not as good as 3 weeks ago but ok.

Consultant said that aches and pains are more likely from the treatment and statins rather than cancer progression as the imaging results from 3 weeks ago showed tumor shrinkage.

Didn't ask about PSA like I usually do I'll wait for it to come down on my app,my attitude was if it has gone up what can I do about it, its out of my control I can only go on how I'm feeling.

More imaging in 3 weeks so will update then.

All the best on your journeys guys and stay strong πŸ’ͺ

Phil,

Youre doing ace. Tumour shrinkage is something to celebrate. Aches and pains likely due to the treatment is I hope also reassuring for you (I think you know what I mean).

As always wishing you the very best.

Enjoy today

I don't know if they'll be a phase two.

In Star Trek, there were  lots of 'phasers'. I'm sure Phil, like Capt. Kirk, will use whatever weapon is available to him, and "boldly go where no man has ever gone before!

Both even share the same goal, to eradicate any 'Klingons'. I hope that Phil's mission is successful. πŸ‘

Inspired by your strength, Phil, and like Adrian, wishing the force be with you! But in response to Will, I had read that the trial design is quite brilliant and it's a Phase1/2 trial. From what I can understand, I think it's good that Phil is actually on the Phase 1 arm (the Phase 2 is randomized, but I am not sure if that is randomized in terms of dosing or SOC but I cannot think of better SOC than Hld-0915).
User

The consultants don't discuss how other people are getting on on the trial but they did say there are only 3 people on it in this country.

Luckily I bumped into another guy on ward who was on the same trial who was also doing well his PSA has not dropped as much as mine and his was older than me,but I found out he is only on one 25mg tablet where as I'm on 2 tablets,so yes I think they are trialing the dose and seeing how we react.
