Hi, My uncle having prostate cancer has spread to his liver, his psa jumped from 16 to 69. I wondering what other treatments might be available and roughly how long he may have left. Please help me. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.!

Hi Mary, you haven't provided us with much information. Has he been on treatment for a number of years?

If he has been on treatment for many years and it has now spread to liver, I doubt he will survive another year. If he has not yet had treatment then by starting him on hormones, they could probably slow the disease down for a year or two possibly even in to the decades.

Your uncle has prostate cancer that has spread to his liver. He may have different treatments, such as surgery, radiation, hormone, chemo, immune, or targeted therapy. The best treatment depends on his situation. The doctor can give you an estimate of how long he may live, but it is not certain. You can also use online tools to get an idea of the survival rates.
