How very generous and unScottish of you. ๐Ÿ˜‰

My daughter, is picking up the wife this morning and taking her for breakfast. It's the first year I've been motherless. Mum passed away last July. She was just over 100 years old. I think she only hung on for her card from the King. ๐Ÿ™‚

I'm glad that your husband's biopsy was okay. He may well be peeing a bit of blood for a while.

I hope you get better soon.

Anyway, Happy Mother's Day, to all you lovely Mums. XXXX.

Hi Guys and Gals.

Well hope you all had great weekends . The weather here certainly helped.

As you may or may not know my 70th birthday is a couple of days way. So my Oldest and his family flew over Friday so we could have a family meal at our favourite restaurant. So was gonna be them , our youngest and wife and the MiL. We went lunchtime as we had the little one and so it worked better.

Anyways, we got there at 12 noon and i was last to walk in and bloody hell the place was rammed … then suddenly i heard ‘Happy Birthday’ being sung and looked around and saw that everyone there was friends and family. I was well emotional and shocked…!

What a surprise i had no idea whatsoever. They’d booked the whole restaurant and it was full up. Had a friend come over from Spain. Some from Oop North, Suffolk and The West Country. Was so good and they’d organised it all so well without me having any idea. Then most of them came back to ours afterwards which was lovely and the weather helped. Quite an emotional day. They even had a photo book made up with some photos I thought i would never see again…!

So Sunday, Mothers Day, we were invited to our youngest for a nice breakfast spread which was lovely. Had to leave for Luton at 12.30 to get the oldest and family there for their flight home to Jersey.

So a pretty good weekend and one i wont forget. I need a rest now.

Take care all of you ,

Nice to see a new face on here Suzz. It’s a good place to chat about all sorts of old rubbish as you may have noticed .. ๐Ÿ˜‚

I'm glad that you're feeling a bit better.

Yeah, Mum stayed alive long enough to get her card form Chaz and Cami. I've got it now and will pass it onto my grandkids when they're a little older. They miss their Great Nana.

Bloomin' eck, love. It sounds like you were hit by a hurricane. I love gardening. I've been outside pottering about all day, soaking up the sun and having a few cans of Stella. It looks like we've got sunny weather for the next few days, so I'll be doing loads of boozing in the garden. I've got a bench in the corner of the corner of the garden, it's a right suntrap. The thermometer showed 86 degrees Fahrenheit at 2pm yesterday! I'm already getting sunburn.

HI Suzz,

You can ask on here or you can start a new thread. We do still mention the big C on here and that’s ok.

If you’re not sure on how to start a new thread one of us could do it for you.

Im sitting in the conservatory going through all the appliance choices for our new kitchen . Bloody hell does my head hurt. I thought id got a list all done until we went to our local stockist and the missus looked around….. Anyway pretty much done now and ill pop the new list down there for them to get me some prices.

Kitchen and Worktop all chosen now and we’ve even got a date for the fitter to start….

So Suzz fire away with your question… !

Phil

Hi Phil and Suzz.

Suzz.

I thought that 'you know wot' was a sex question. Whatever, whether it's sex, todgers or cancer you can ask owt you want in here, we're a very open minded establishment. ๐Ÿ™‚

Late edit.

Whoops I got the wrong end of the stick there. ๐Ÿ˜

I now see that your question was about whether you can record a consultation. You can but to be polite you should inform them that you intend to do so.

Belated birthday wishes to you. ๐ŸŽ‚

We're mixing up Celsius with Fahrenheit. Yesterday, at the front of the house it was 19 degrees Celsius but in the sheltered suntrap corner of the back garden, which is in direct sunlight, the thermometer on the fence nearly reached 30 degrees Celsius! I know it sounds ridiculous but that was reading, unless the therometer's knackered? It's been the same today.

As for family, I've got 2 sons, aged 42 and 46. A stepson who's 38, and stepdaughter who's 36. She's the only one with children. I've just got two grandkids, Albia 6yrs and Ollie 11yrs. I love them to bits. All my kids knew about my cancer diagnosis but we kept it secret from the grandkids. It would have frightened them too much. Last year when I took Ollie swimming, he noticed the circular prostatectomy scars across my belly. He asked what had caused them. I told them they were combat injuries from when I was in the Army. No wonder I'm his hero. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Suzz1962, just to pick up on one point, does thinking about the cancer help the situation, if not then try to think of something else. If thinking means worrying, then definitely think of something else.  I am 11 years into this journey and learnt along time ago that the worrying doesn't help with the problem. I had a blood test on Monday I was more annoyed at how long my GP takes to get the result posted than what the result would be. Once I know the result I can plan and consider the next move. Take care.

Thanks Chris
