I am 4 weeks post surgery on a radical prostatectomy.  I have been experiencing dizziness for the last 3 weeks and some occasional lower blood pressure.  Is this a common side effect - I cant see any mention of it in previous chats

Hi Robert,

I'm not medically trained. However, I believe hypotension can be a side effect of prostatectomy. It can also be caused by dehydration. Have you cut your fluid intake following the op. I suspect many of us have, to do to reduce incontinence issues. If it continues I would contact your GP, mate.

Thanks Adrian - I havent cut liquid intake but I can increase it as I seem to be ok on incontinence.  And have been to GP but to say a waste of time is something of an understatement.  Thanks for the suggestions.

A general anesthetic knocks my blood pressure down for over a week, and I have to come off blood pressure meds for that period. I don't know how common that is.
