I've just had a bloodiest and the PSA reading is 44. I've never hadxa test before. I'm seeing the GPcnext week but wonder should I be worried?

Hello, mate.

I'm sorry that you appear to have prostate problems, but welcome to the forum.

PSA tests are only indicators, but usually high levels, indicate a higher chance of prostate cancer. Sometimes though, other non cancerous prostate conditions can cause high PSA levels.

Unfortunately, your PSA level is significantly high. For a 74 year old man, anything over 6.5 is deemed abnormal, so yours should be investigated further. Your GP will probably refer you to a urologist to do further tests.

My advice would be, try not to worry too much, and deal with one test at a time.

Please keep us updated. We will help you wherever we can.

Good luck.👍

I just read your post and totally understand the worry around your result. Meanwhile I distracted myself a bit by checking out https://casinosanalyzer.com/free-slots-online/7s-Deluxe not related, but even a small break can help clear your mind. Try to take the next steps one at a time and lean on your support network until you get clarity.
