Orgovyx, Relugolix

I have been on Relugolix tablets for some 9 months now. I have read the leaflet supplied with the medicine listing the side effects. In addition to the fatigue, testical atrophy, weight gain, mood change, muscle and joint ache, stiffness, erectil dysfunction and hot flushes, I believe my cognitive abilities are effected as well. I am experiencing memory problems and retaining information. I have insomnia and disturbed sleep patterns. Sometimes disturbing dreams. I tried to report the side effects on the Yellow Card website but this medication is not listed.

It would be interesting to hear from others taking Orgovyx.

Hi

I've been on Relugolix for nearly 6 months. I'm today 10 sessions into 20 sessions of radiotherapy. The oncologist originally put me on Relugolix for 6 months, so I'm hoping he'll advise stopping it when I see him at the end of my radiotherapy on 3rd Feb.

I've had fatigue, lack of libido & erectile dysfunction, mood change bordering on depression, and hot flushes. I've avoided weight gain by cutting out alcohol and increased exercise. I have also found it difficult to get to sleep, and some weird dreams. Don't think my cognitive functions have been affected.

On the positive side my PSA reduced to from the original 7.14 to 0.57 after 2 months, and 0.21 last time it was checked end of November, so it's clearly doing its job.

Sleep  disturbance or "sleeplessness" as they put it on the leaflet, is mentioned as a possible side effect but the leaflet is not an exhaustive list nor accurate . I complained to my oncologist that it implied only UP TO 10% of users get sexual dysfunction, implying 90% do not,  which is clearly absurd. I mostly had hot flushes that reduced after 12 weeks so far and I do wake up and feel too alert to fall back asleep but eventually manage to.

Hi All

Im been on Relugolix for over 2 months now , been having these weird dreams , some very dark and i wake up saying ‘ wow what was that’ . ED all the time , hot flushes controlled by sage tablets however I still get them from time to time , I wake up many times , between 45 minutes to 2 hours . Im also on Apalutamide which has had a great result on my PSA coming down to 0.32 from 13.46 in just over 3 weeks which is amazing. So I will continue with them and hopefully some of the side effects will ease up .
Anthony
