Hi there, same as Kev. My OH went for 3.5 yrs after surgery with PSA of <0.10. Routine PSA August 25 showed 0.11. We retested 2 weeks later increased to 0.13. Referred back, PET scan showed 0.5cm area in prostate bed. Zolodex for 4 months and he finished SRT 3 weeks ago. 20 fractions to whole pelvic area. I will be honest, my head fell off. The waiting for the pet scan results was not good and my mind went into overdrive. He has a great oncologist who calmed the nerves and said not to panic, these were tiny rises. He’s out the other end of SRT, slightly battered. He had a PSA test yesterday and it’s back to undetectable so we were rejoicing.
I think most hospitals refer back when readings get to 0.2, ours was 0.1. It’s far from ideal, as post surgery you just want it all be done. Hence why regular tests are vital to flag any changes. Ask away if I can help with anything. Hope you are referred back into the system quickly and if required, you can start treatment sharpish. jx
