Just the right start to a day. In Henning Mankell's final column, published after his death, he quoted:

One day we shall die. But all the other days we shall be alive.

I like that.

Focusing on that present day is sometimes hard when diagnosed.

"Don't worry about crossing the bridge until you get to it."

"Don't worry so much about tomorrow that you forget to enjoy today".

All similar sentiments, and reached when one arrives at acceptance of ones destiny.

Acceptance of what we can not change brings a new calm.  Not giving in, but no point fighting a battle that can not be won.

All we can do - is do all that we can.

So, do all you can to help yourself, then make the best of your time. :-)

I am the statistic.

As St Francis of Assisi said:

"Lord, grant me the strength to accept the things I cannot change,

the courage to change the things I can

and the wisdom to know the difference"
