everything smells odd

morning all

well from last night and my upset belly it seems that everything tastes weird and everything smells really bad, I know others have said you can loose your taste buds but man some of these smells are proper rank http://community.prostatecanceruk.org/editors/tiny_mce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-sealed.gif

Hi Nidge,

My brother had chemo two years ago for a different cancer but he said exactly the same, that nothing had a taste apart from pineapple.. And his sense of smell was up the creek.

It would seem that is what happens!!

I hope they both return in the near future and that the chemo is successful 💩💩💩😝😝😝

Taste buds and sense of smell are closely linked so I suppose it makes sense that smells go weird as the taste buds are damaged - at least you know it's only temporary :-(

Must be weird ! And I don't like pineapple which would be a double blow . As Lyn says , I heard the sense of taste is 70% "smell". I'm thinking fried breakfasts now
