Hi folks, I have a farnhurst elite pump (on the nhs) and have been using it almost daily for a month.

But how long do you pump for?

The medico said no more than 30 min at least 5 days per week ... sometimes finding a spare 30 min us difficult y

So if i do it for say 10 min a day is that ok?

It does seem to be having an effect nevertheless 😊

Yes that is more than enough. Don’t use the rings unless you want sex. Just pump and hold the vacuum and keep him full. 10 minutes a day is great. I am 4 yrs post op with excellent recovery yet I still use the pump each time I shave !!! Good luck

My OH was told when he got his pump, 10 minutes a day for 28 days and after that at least twice a week. Don't think he would manage to fit in 30 minute a day

Sorry, I'm new to this forum and to being without a Prostate!

I have only recently got a pump as my op was only 4 month ago. Have you found it is beneficial to use it in conjunction with Viagra for blood flow or is it purely for sexual purposes?

Definitely cock rehab primarily, If the pump does something for you sexually too then go for it!

If you have a TFTE (total failure to erect) a pump can be used with constriction bands to get you going but it needs practice and a willing partner.

Hi DIYRehab, The jury seems to be out on the benefits of using Viagra especially if like me you haven't had nerve sparing surgery? I find the pump good for rehabilitation and essential for sex. My urologist said think of it like a daily gym workout for the penis. 🤣 I'm having to wait until October to try Caverject as there is a long waiting list at my local hospital and I have to be supervised for the first time.

It could be dangerous to use Viagra at the same time as the pump, particularly if you are using the rings. One or the other, I'm afraid.
