PSA result has been 0.003 for 2 years after prostatectomy with lymph node removal,  cancer was found in lymph nodes and put on Zoladex for rest of life. Last test was 0.023. Specialist nurse said its insignificant. Back in 6 months for regular PSA test. Should I be concerned? .

Thank you for listening.

No - it could be that the machines have been recalibrated, the lab has purchased a new machine, you had a little bit of infection on the day of the test, your body is settling into it's new normal ... so many explanations. My husband doesn't have a prostate and his 'normal' has settled at between 0.09 and 0.11 and just sort of wanders between the two at each test.

If it rose above 0.1 and then continued to rise on the next three tests, they would refer you to oncology but you are nowhere near that stage yet.
