< 0.008 PSA

10 years since surgery and probably around 20 PSA tests, always a worry but got so used to < 0.003

This time though it's a  < 0.008

Should I worry? Do I need to do anything? Looking back, my PSA results after surgery were all < 0.03 and last year in the UK it was also < 0.03 (notice the decimal point)

What do you think guys?

So you have changed where you have the test or the lab has changed machine or assay - your PSA is now even more undetectable than it was before - why would you worry?

I know, as a well-practised veteran that's exactly what I would have said, thanks 😂

My local super-hospital only tests to 0.1, so anything under that is <0.1 = undetectable.

Tests in the tens of thousands and even hundreds are more trouble than they are worth, and I have been told as much by three cancer consultants.

Stop worrying. Best of luck.

Cheers,

John.
