Is this positive news for dad?

Evening all.

Dad been on hormone tablets for 5 weeks now. Seems to be handling them really well.

Hes got appointment coming up in a few weeks to discuss radiotherapy and brachytherapy.

Told to go for bloods to get PSA. Results back today and his PSA was 14, now 2.98.

Im presuming this is good news. Any hints on what they will want to do/see?
Was meant to be just brachytherapy (T2) but consultant thought it was trying to breakout so now graded a T3a, Gleason was 3 + 4 7...

Any advice, positively would be greatly received.

Thank you

That's a good PSA drop - it will probably continue dropping further.

I would guess they might now offer him external beam radiotherapy, or brachytherapy boost, which is a combination of half dose external beam radiotherapy, plus half dose brachytherapy. That's the treatment I had nearly 2 years ago, and no complaints so far.
