Some people compromise their treatment worrying about ED and other side effects but low carbs, <20g in this case, would be a step too far for me unless it was definitely worthwhile.   Although the Paleo diet was popular a few years ago.

It is important to decrease amount of carbs in meals in a correct way. If they are immediately excluded from the diet, then the body will be stressed.

Correct way??

I stopped eating confectionery, stopped eating breakfast (muesli), stopped buying potatoes, bread and pasta (Still eat these things when out for a meal) and went "unlimited" on leafy veg.

So far I have dropped 9kg and 2 inches off my waist over 6 months. Best part is it hasn't been a struggle.
