No Pain?

Hi again

My 85 year old dad has a high grade prostate cancer with widespread bony metastasis. He had a fall 6 weeks ago and fractured his pelvis in 4 places. He is mobilizing with a walking frame and keen to get back on his stick. He says he has no pain despite the fractures and metastasis in his spine, pelvis and ribs. Is this possible or is he just keeping a stiff upper lip? No pain meds either, I’m worried that he is in pain but not saying 😬

Libby, sorry I can't help, not in the same situation, just pushing back up the list.

My dad had a fall and broke his hip several weeks ago (snapped head off femar). The scans in hospital showed several vertebra fractures, probably old, and shadows on pelvis, again probably old. Also no pain, although over the years he has lost some nerve control of feet due to spinal cord damage. They tested him for prostate cancer, but decided he didn't have it.
