Is PSA likely to be affected by a hydrocele?

As the title says, is this likely? Because my PSA has been up and down lately, I was booked in quite quickly for a bone scan, CT and MRI all of which showed nothing. For a rough guide it's been hovering around 5.74 - 8.65 - 7.41 from  Dec 2019 - Oct 2022. On Feb 6 this year it shot up to 23.7 then Feb 16 to 39.3 and April 13 down to 8.44.

I couldn't work out was happening as I had no symptoms at all and I was downgraded to PIRADS 2 in Feb 2021 and still am.

Now It's possible I may have a hydrocele which I'm making an appt for. Could this be the cause of the wandering PSA?

Hi Kryten

You could try the Specialist Nurses who if they haven't met this one before most probably have access to somebody who would know.

How depressing it is that somebody spends their time in spamming folk who have health problems.

I had a reply from a member and the link in the email takes me to a part of this site that I don't have access to apparently.

So I can't read all of the reply, only the first line... Do we have a moderator who can check this out??
