Use of supplements whilst on Prostap.

Hi folks! This is my first post.

I had my 2nd Prostap 3 injection a few days ago.

It seems to be working as about 1 month ago (2 months into treatment) my PSA had reduced from 374 to just 17.

I know that Prostap is used to reduce testosterone levels because the prostate cancer requires testosterone in order to grow and spread.

However, I would like to take Zinc Picolinate to boost my immune system but I've read that Zinc increases testosterone.

So, obviously, I wouldn't want to reduce the effects of the Prostap if Zinc does increase testosterone.

Has anyone else here taken similar supplements whilst on Prostap or has anyone been told not to take extra Zinc at the same time?

Hi Clive,

I'm sorry you had to find us, but I'm glad you have. Welcome to the forum.

I've not been on Prostap so I'm afraid I can't help with your query. However there are lots of folk on here who have been on it and I'm sure someone will pop in and be able to advice you.

Never take any supplement without checking with your nurse specialist, oncologist or pharmacist that the supplement will not impact on, or interfere with, the HT.
