This is totally new normally  I keep things to my self. This time it's to big cat scan  in two weeks prognosis hopeful treatment to be discussed. I care for my wife who has several serious medical conditions so things are complicated. I have some mental health help and can hopefully get more. At this stage I don't know what else to say

It's perfectly normal to be scared and generally things don't turn out to be as bad as our fears, but given your circumstances you probably need to be speaking directly to a specialist nurse if you haven't already done so. The number is next to the logo at the top of this page.

Best of luck

Hello Colin,

I'm glad that you've that you've decided to share your circumstances. As Richard advised you can get excellent medical advice from one of the specialist nurses and lots of support from posters on here who can usually help.

All the best mate and keep us updated.

It must be horribly daunting, especially so given the caring responsibilities you have too.  However, the positive news is that treatments are way better than they were even just 5 years ago, and there is a wealth of support services you can access.

As others have mentioned, keep this forum updated and people will be able to help you with tips, guidance and support.  In the meantime, wishing you all the best for a positive outcome.

Can only echo and amplify Craig's input Colin.

There are so many on here that will happily help you negotiate any hurdles going forward.

Much love brother.

Jamie.
