I have been on Prostap and Enza for a year now and my psa dropped from 5.7 to 0.04 but the latest blood test result was 0.09. I have a follow-up call with onco next week and would appreciate any thoughts on likely treatment options or key questions to ask. I have been prescribed another two months of Enza so perhaps they are not too worried with the increase  (unlike me!).

Hi,

I read your profile and there is no mention of scans, such as a psma scan.   Is anyone looking to see where the cells are located. If there is only 1 or even 2 spots it might be possible to treat it.

Out of interest did you have an hormone treatment with the RT?

All the best, Peter

I think that the chances of PSMA showing met(s) at 0.09 though possible, is much reduced but you could certainly raise with your consultant for opinion. While the scan is rare and expensive, it would not be surprising if it was more reserved for men whose indicators were such that there was a better chance of it working.

Barry.

Hi Peter,

Profile updated - I had a PSMA scan in scan in December 21 which identified a 'light tumor load' in the prostate bed area. As this area had previously been treated with salvage RT, SABR treatment was not possible.
