2 weeks post op

My partner has his laproscopic Prostectomy 2 weeks ago today. He has tried to stay positive throughout. After surgery he was home next day with catheter. His TWOC was planned for yesterday but was cancelled as scanner at hospital broken but as his urethra split ad had to be repaired as well probably a blessing in disguise as specialist thinks it will need another week to heal so now booked for next Tuesday. He started taking his Cialis straight after the op keeping our fingers crossed it was nerve sparring. Last night he woke me up, know it's early days but he had a semi-erection :) third day in a row but all signs are looking good. Hoping after getting histology results we can start to move on.

Hello Andrea.
A nuisance about the delay in TWOC but very good news on the early morning front!

Sounds like he must have had some nerve sparing at least. Long may the early morning joy continue and improve for you

Hi Andrea
Firstly congrats on getting through the op together. Well done. I remember your previous posts and how "active" you both were. It's great that you are getting some stirrings already but be prepared for the long-haul ok with regards to ED. I am 7 months post op and 48 yrs old and double nerve spared yet haven't had one single natural erection yet. But then I've never been offered daily Cialis yet , my surgeon insisting there is no evidence it restores natural function any better than a vacuum pump. Yes the pump gives great false erections , and the Cialis is the same really. But neither guarantee return to natural erections at will.
Because I remember how active you were I wanted to post to IMPLORE you both not to go anywhere near a vacuum pump for a minimum of 8 weeks , and probably longer if he had complications as you said. He could do very very serious damage ok.Be guided by your health team. Try to be patient. Either of you can PM me anytime as I have been extremely active in trying to restore sexual function myself. All the best
Chris

Andrea

Just be aware that if urine leaks from the urethra into the soft tissue of the penis it will swell up. My urethra was punctured during a dilatation. The second time I passed urine it swelled slightly, the fourth time I passed urine I had a full size penis.

Thanks Chris
