Has anybody had a nano knife treatment and if so, was it successful?

I've just noticed this post a week old with no replies. Well either no ones had the treatment or it has failed for everyone.

Maybe the post just slipped under the radar. Anyway I shall bump it up and see if we have any takers.

Nanoknife is the most recent of the focal therapies available in the UK. There aren't many focal therapy patients compared with other treatments and very few centres do Nanoknife, and that means there's no long-term data on them.

Some aspects of a recent HIFU thread might be relevant to you:

Nonoknife is the popular name for Irreversble Electroporation. Electrodes are applied in predetermined positions and short bursts of electrical currentapplied so as to blow holes through the cancer cells thereby damaging their DNA, hopefully critically. So there is no knife and no radioway with Nanoknife. The Focal Therapist will work with the type of focal treatment s/he is most comfortable with and feels is ppropriate for an individual.

I have added a little to the link Andy gave and here is another. Paul London was/is a strong advocate of the Nanoknife he had. We haven't heard from him for quite a time, so I hope he continues to do well. https://community.prostatecanceruk.org/posts/t28892-Nanoknife---anyone-with-recent-experience
