Does anyone out there found partner on hormone injections and now steroids because of having chemo mood swings unbearable

Does anyone else find partners on hormone injections and now taking steroids and having chemo having mood swings all the time also being anxious and having a temper especially if things don’t go his way

Hi Rose, the mood swings are a very common side effect of the hormone treatment, and many people diagnosed with cancer find their emotions are all over the place so I think it is normal. However, having cancer is not an excuse to be violent or abusive so I hope that doesn’t apply in your case.

Some hospitals have a Maggies centre or other charitable groups who offer counselling to people with cancer, or their family members. Your local hospice might also have a counselling service, or you could call the PCUK nurses on the number at the top of this web page and talk to them.
