Hi Rose, the mood swings are a very common side effect of the hormone treatment, and many people diagnosed with cancer find their emotions are all over the place so I think it is normal. However, having cancer is not an excuse to be violent or abusive so I hope that doesn’t apply in your case.
Some hospitals have a Maggies centre or other charitable groups who offer counselling to people with cancer, or their family members. Your local hospice might also have a counselling service, or you could call the PCUK nurses on the number at the top of this web page and talk to them.
